It doesn't need to be the Trevi Fountain (http://www.trevifountain.net/), but if there was some statue or piece of architecture pouring water into a basin or jetting it into the air, it would do a nice view.
-it makes a nice view, both for inhabitants than for tourists. -Water sound is relaxing (and refreshing in good weather) -Water supply is not a problem in Iceland, furthermore you could use warm water in order to avoid icing of the fountain during winter time. -a simple work of art, just think that the peeing boy in Brussell makes one of the main attractions of that city.
